Pino Signoretto

Master Glassmaker Murano

Pino Signoretto was born in the 1944 in a small town near Venice. In the 1954 he started working in one chandelier glassware. During his work experience he learned from great masters: Alfredo Barbini, Livio Seguso, Ermanno Nason and Angelo Seguso.

A 16 years has become master glassmaker, has acquired complete mastery of the trade and all the technical knowledge for glass processing. In the 1978 has opened its own studio in Murano where he collaborates with artists and architects, including Dalì, Vedova, Licata, Kruft, Dal Pezzo, Vitali, Pomodoro and Willson.

From 1985 He often travels to Japanese where he makes a work for the imperial family.

There is a permanent exhibition dedicated to him at the Museum of Venetian Art in Otaru, Japan. He has created works for Dale Chihuly of Seattle, United States of America, and has taught in many glass schools and universities in the United States (Seattle's Pilchuck Glass School, Toyama Glass School, Tulane University).

In 1990 he made glass trophies for the European basketball championship in Paris, France, and also for the NBA, USA. Pino Signoretto has developed one universally recognized mastery which is reflected in his creations.
