Adriano Dalla Valentina
Born in Murano in 1945.
He started working in the kiln at the age of ten and spent the next fourteen years doing various assignments in different Murano glass factories.This vast experience allowed him to improve his glassmaking skills.
At 24, Adriano opened his own independent furnace.
Over the years he has built his reputation in Murano as one of the greatest masters.
He keeps the tradition of glass blowing alive and decides to share his skills and experience with the students of the Venice Art Institute.
His talent embraces various glass working techniques, although he is best recognized for the typical Venetian style: working with murrina and cane.
He works with well-known architects and designers, reproducing their ideas in glass works.
His work has appeared in numerous exhibitions, including the "Murano Award", "From Murano to Rome in the World" an artist exhibition in Rome, Milan and Cremona.
He exhibited his works in France at the "Salon International des artistes verriers", Tours, in 1997.
In 1998, Adriano Dalla Valentina presents the "Four Seasons" at the second edition of "Venezia Vetro" at the Doge's Palace.
In October 1998, in collaboration with various Art Institutes, Adriano held his solo show at the "Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation"
The works of the master Adriano Dalla Valentina are currently on display in major European cities, Japanese museums and art galleries in the United States.
